Volusia County closes ALL bridges from mainland when sustained winds exceed 40mph.
This section of the Owners Website provides important information about the significant “Major Restoration Project” undertaken at the Pelican from 2019-2022 under the direction of the Association’s Board of Directors. The project’s purpose was to update, preserve
and repair significant structural matters related to the Pelican. A “Restoration Project Overview” PowerPoint Presentation was presented to Owners at a special board meeting on May 17, 2019. See the presentation here and follow the chronology of reports regarding the massive project via the tabs below (latest information is always first in the list).

In 2017, at the request of the Pelican Board of Directors, representatives from United Engineering Consultants, Inc. of Daytona Beach, Florida performed an inspection of all Pelican buildings starting on August 21, 2017 and completed on September 15, 2017. A formal report of findings was publish on October 5, 2017 and made available to the board. See the report (Note the report is 72 pages in length and could take considerable time to download)
